Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme
Energy Credits are the Energy Savings made by a project i.e. Installation of an Energy Saving Measure
Installers & Merchants can claim Energy Credits through an Accredited SEAI Counterparty for ESM’s that have been implemented in the Domestic & Commercial markets.
Solas Holdings are currently working in close partnership with individual Installers and with a number of Merchants to facilitate their customers on the (Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme) EEOS, so that they can claim these credits.
Some examples of ESMs that Installers can claim for are:
- New Heating Systems (A Class Boiler + Thermostat + 24/7 controls)
- Stoves (without a back boiler)
- Insulation (Attic, Cavity Wall, Dry Lining)
Under new EU regulations, Ireland is currently under obligation to reduce our Carbon Consumption by 20%. Under the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme, all Energy Saving Measures that are applied to homes and businesses around the country need to be reported back to the SEAI so that we can meet these targets.
If you report back all of your completed ESM’s that qualify under this scheme; you will receive payment for these credits.
If you are a Building Supplier’s Merchant or an Installer of Energy Saving Measures and would be interested in hearing more about the EEOS you can speak to one of our Regional Representatives:
